Play as same character:
Begin a one player game and quickly lose a life. Press Start on controller two and select the same character. Begin game play, then press Start to have player one appear as the same character.
Additional continues:
Play as player one until almost all lives have been lost. Press Start on controller two to resume game play with more continues.
Last level:
Enter the options screen then press Left(3), Up(2), Right(5) to advance to the last level.
Extra lives and continues:
Press R, L, R, L, R, L, A, R, L, R, L, R, L, Y when the ‘1 Player’, ‘2 Players’, and ‘Option’ selections appear at the title screen, Enter the ‘Options’ menu. You can now select up to five lives and continues for any difficulty setting.
Level select and sound test:
Press L(5), R(5) at the character selection screen. Select a character and the level select and sound test options will appear on the next screen.
Extra Hard mode:
Successfully complete the game under the Hard difficulty setting. The game will restart at level one, but the amount of rests and continues you had from your previous session will remain. However, gun power-ups will be gone and the difficulty will be increased even more. Note: This mode is selectable.
