Let's Play SNES

Level select:
Press Down, L, R, Down, L, Up, Down, Up, R, Up, R, then press Up + A + B at the options screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Hold R at the ‘Get Ready’ screen before a level starts to display the level select menu.

Sound test:
Press L or R at the Lucas Arts logo.

When the opening short credits are displayed with the copyrights, etc., press R to hear a dog bark or L to hear a victim scream.

Bonus level:
Enter BCDF, GYLM, or XDSJ as a password.

View end credits:
Enter XWJR as a password.

Cheerleaders vs. The Monsters bonus level:
Enter WBGR as a password to begin game play on level 9 with all ten victims. Rescue all victims on each stage up until level 12 (Mars Needs Cheerleaders) to reach the ‘Cheerleaders vs. The Monsters’ bonus level.

Hint: Best weapon:
On level 14, go as far right as possible and find the hidden passage on the wall. Go through and you will find a shotgun.

Hint: Level 1: Bonus level:
If you are lucky enough to get a bazooka cannon, use it on the bushes next to the house to find a bonus level. Note: You must have all 10 victims at the time. You must save all 10 cheerleaders without any dying to automatically be sent to a bonus level after the level is over.

If you have a bazooka cannon, use it on the bushes near the top of the area to find a bonus level. Note: You must have all 10 victims at the time. You must save all 10 cheerleaders without any dying to automatically be sent to a bonus level after the level is over.

Hint: Monster Phobia level: Giant spider:
At the very end of the level is a Giant Spider. You normally must defeat it, but it will take almost everything you have. It is best just to pass it by with a level skip password. Note: If you do intend of fighting it, use the weed wacker to cut through the webs that it makes.

Level select:
Pause game play and press R, Up, B, Y, A.

Unlimited energy:
Pause game play and press B, Up, B(2), A.

Unlimited lives:
Pause game play and press B, A, B(2), Y.

Unlimited shurikens:
Pause game play and press Down, A, B.

Equip in-game weapons (zodiac spear):
Pause game play and press B(3), Down(3), B(2), Down(2), B, Down, Up, Start.

Enable all codes:

Hidden fighters:
Wait until the blank screen after the Namco logo appears, then press B, A, B, Y, B, A, B, Y. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Youko Kurama, Shoujo Genkai and 100% Toguro will now be unlocked. To select them, highlight their normal version at the character selection screen then press L or R.

Ending sequence:
Wait until the Namco logo appears, then quickly and repeatedly press L + R.

Boss mode:
Press Y(7), X(6), A(5) at the title screen.

Fight as Yakumo:
Press Y(7), X(6), A(5) when ‘Push Start’ appears on the opening screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry.

Bonus character:
Press Y(7), X(7), A(7) when ‘Push Start’ appears on the opening screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. A character from the movie will be unlocked.

Easy fatalities:
Enter the options screen and change the number in front of P1 and P2 (player one or player two) to one of the following settings.

1: Press L or R when having little energy for the fatality to automatically be tied up.
2: One button special attacks, and L + R will execute fatalities.
Off: All functions are disabled.

Fatalities with animations:
Begin game play against the CPU in story mode: Leave the fighters with the a blinking energy bar then press Forward, Back, Forward, X. The fighter will leave the dizzy opponent. Execute the fatality. The screen will close and the animation will appear. When playing against a human player two, repeat the process in the third round.

Debug mode:
Begin game play and create a saved game. Reset the Super Nintendo console and wait until the American Sammy logo is fully displayed. Then, press Up, Down, Up, Down, Select, Start on controller two before the logo disappears again. Select the ‘Continue’ option, and press Select. The, press Start on controller two. The word ‘Debug’ will appear next to ‘Status’ to confirm correct code entry. Note: This code also activates invincibility.

Alternately, create a saved game and reset the SNES. When the Sammy logo appears, press Start on controller two. The Sammy logo will freeze, then continue after about five seconds. While the logo is frozen, press Up, Down, Up, Down, Select, Start on controller two. Select ‘Continue’ with controller one and start a saved game. Bring up the menu and select the status screen with controller one. Then, press Select on controller two The word ‘Debug’ will appear next to the word ‘Status’ on the status screen. You are now invincible. Your life level will go down, but will then keep resetting to full life.

Hint: Defeating Galaban:
Start the battle with Galaban after the labyrinth. Do not heal if you have 60 or higher health. When he has the ‘laser’ and goes downwards, get close and start slashing away. Note: Do not get too close. When the hands are destroyed (after about twenty hits for each hand), wait and avoid his attacks. When his gut opens, use the Power Ring and start slashing his gut once or twice. Note: Save the amulet for later. This will not do much damage. If you avoid the laser that is fired, heal as fast as possible (herb), then continue avoiding and slashing his gut when its open. Note: Use the amulet in your first battle on his gut when it opens, then intentionally die to see how much damage it does for the finish. When he has low enough health, kill him with the amulet.

Level select:
Press Up, Right, Down, Left, Y, B, Up, Right, Down, Left, B, Y, Up, Right, Down at the title screen. Alternately, press Up, Right, Down, Left, Y, B, Up, Right, Down, Left, B, Y, Up, Right, Down, Left, Start at the title screen. Note: This code does work, but may require several attempts.

Beast: Keep head butting him.

Hint: Defeating Apocalypse:

Gambit: Hit him as much as possible and when he spikes, throw a card.
Beast: Head butt him as much as possible.
Cyclops: Hit him as much as possible and when he spikes, laser him.
Wolverine: Claw him as much as possible, and when you see where he is going to appear, step away, jump, wait, and hit him.

Hint: Defeating Juggernaut:

Gambit or Wolverine: Step on a platform and let him charge at you. Jump beside him and repeatedly hit him as fast as possible.

Round select:
Press Right(2), Left(2), Up, Down, Left, Down(3) at the title screen. The game music will restart to confirm correct code entry. Press Y to select the new game option. Press Y once more to display the round selection option. Note: You may jump to the Boss rounds by enabling this code.

Invincibility:
Press Left(2), Right(2), Down. Up, Right, Up(3) at the title screen. A no damage option will now be accessible on the options screen.

In-game reset:
Press L + R + Start + Select during game play.

Quick pin:
Lower your opponent’s energy by half. Press X when your opponent is on the mat to pin him, then quickly hold Up + Y. Your opponent will not be able to get off the mat after the three count. Note: This will not work in tag team or survivor modes.

Bring your opponent down to half health, then knock him down. Press X to pin him, then press Up and hold B. Note: This will only work in one-on-one mode.

Hint: Referee similarity:
The referee for this game is modeled after referee Mike Chioda.

Hint: WWF Attitude logo preview:
On the turnbuckles, the new WWF Attitude logo is seen. This game was made in 1991, and the Attitude logo did not arrive until 1998.

Hint: Hulk Hogan’s Leg Drop:
Select Hulk Hogan as your wrestler and choose any opponent. When your opponent is laying on the mat, hold Y to bounce off the ropes. When you run back to your opponent, pres B and Hulk Hogan will do his leg drop. Note: This can be done with any wrestler, but Hulk Hogan is best known for it.

Hint: Randy Savage’s Flying Elbow Drop:
Put your opponent on the mat by any method. Then, climb the turnbuckle and press B. Note: This works with every wrestler because no one has a special move except for Macho Man.
